    In today’s hyper-connected world, people’s attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. They are bombarded with multiple messages from so many sources that they are struggling to keep up, let alone make sense of them all. If you are unable to communicate your ideas and messages effectively and quickly, you’ll lose them quickly.

    You constantly have to juggle the competing demands of multiple stakeholders – your bosses, your bosses’ bosses, your bosses’ subordinates, customers, suppliers and the media. On top of having to make sure that you “get your facts right”, you are also faced with a time-challenged, skeptical and even critical audience. If you are unable to make your points clearly and effectively, your effectiveness will plummet.

    There are no shortages of books and training courses on communicating powerfully to persuade and to build relationships. However, they do not address the issue of how to communicate effectively in high stress, time-scarce situations.

    In this program, Coen Tan aims to bring a new light to your communication techniques. He will uncover ways to approach key stakeholders and through his workshop you will be equipped with tools to communicate in high stakes, high pressure situations.

    • Challenges people face when having to communicate under pressure, stress, or when they are busy
    • Personal fright-fight-flight patterns and natural defenses that cause people to “clamp up” when communicating

    Assumed Prior Knowledge / Pre-Requisite

    This is not a basic communications skills course.
    Therefore, participants should possess assumed knowledge such as:

    • Prior knowledge of content in their own work areas

    Pre-requisites:
    • Open-mindedness and receptiveness to new ideas
    • Fair fluency in the Spoken English Language (this is not an English-Proficiency Course)
