    Enhancing Interpersonal Relations through Emotional Intelligence
    Most of us have been conditioned to believe that emotions are not welcome at the workplace, that work decisions should be based on facts and logical reason. In short, we believe that IQ is sufficient for our success at work. Today there is growing evidence in the field of emotional intelligence (EI) indicating that proper understanding and application of emotions can help us be more effective workers or managers and better communicators.

    This course will help you to understand how the application of Emotional Intelligence can lead to greater understanding and collaboration with the people who matter, a higher level of influence with others, more productivity in the workplace as well as in social situations. Talks, case studies, questionnaires, personal reflections, as well as a video on EI will be used in the course.

    Managers, supervisors and staff at all levels. Those who need the co-operation of others to get their jobs done. Those who have to interact with internal and external customers on a daily basis. Those who wish to improve their emotional management and enhance interpersonal skills.
    Methodology
    This workshop relies on a variety of techniques to help participants understand their own emotional states through self evaluation questionnaires and small group discussion. Case studies are presented through high impact videos and the trainer will use real life scenarios to share EQ tips and how to manage self and others through emotional management. Individual sharing will also help participants to confront emotional issues and how they can be managed to achieve success.

    Profile of James Suresh
    James is a multi-talented trainer and best-selling author. He has over 20 years of training experience. The co-creator of Singapore's comic icon 'Mr. Kiasu', James has written comic books and recently wrote and published a best-selling illustrated book on Singapore which has won two awards.
