Managers make important decisions on the basis of reports - ineffective reports can result in ineffective decisions. Poorly written reports lead to confusion and misunderstandings. As a report writer we are often exposed to harsh analysis by both clients and bosses. It is therefore imperative that we are able to write well and get our message across clearly - this can save time as well as enabling our bosses/colleagues to reach decisions.
This 1-day workshop provides guidelines on how to write reports that are clear, concise and above all convey the right message. With the use of case studies, this workshop will help report writers develop an awareness of the importance and main features of reports, and use appropriate language for the intended reader and purpose.
In order for all of you to get individual feedback/comments on your writing skills, please bring along any report that you have written recently. These will be reviewed and given back to you individually during the training. These reports are solely for the purpose of giving you all individual feedback and they will not be shown to anyone else.
