    Former US President John F Kennedy said: "Let us never negotiate out of fear but let us never fail to negotiate." Negotiating is something we need to do every day whether we like it or not. Although people often think of boardrooms, suits, and million dollar deals when they hear the word negotiation, the truth is that we negotiate all the time. It doesn’t have to involve contracts or business deals. It might be dealing with housekeeping chores, getting more office space or needing that crucial day off work for a family event. Your ability to negotiate is only part of the equation. What makes you a high achiever in your organization is the develop the fine art of networking both internally and externally. Further developing skills that allows you to convince others to see things your way is also an essential to function productively in an organization.

    In this short action-oriented workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of how to conduct an effective negotiation, use simple but effective strategies to network successful and develop the hypnotic art of persuasion.
    Objective
    By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
    • Mastering the core skills to create a win-win negotiation outcome
    • Understanding the basic types of negotiations, the phases of negotiation, and the skills needed for successful negotiating
    • Apply the Milton’s model of persuading anyone and everyone
    • Understand and apply the basic negotiating concepts: WATNA, BATNA, WAP and ZOPA and how to apply them in your work
    • Understand and apply the fine art of persuasion using presuppositions
    • Learn to network internally and externally in an organization
    Outline
    Module 1: Fundamental steps in negotiation that you should master
    1.1. Fundamentals of negotiation
    1.2. Know thyself - know thy enemy - what the other party wants out of the situation?

    Module 2: Using Hypnotic language of persuasion
    2.1. introduction to the Milton model of communication
    2.2. Learning to create the right mood to get people to see things your way

    Module 3: Understanding your BATNA, WATNA, ZOPA and WAP and how to use this to negotiate with vendors, colleagues and customers
    3.1 What is a BATNA?
    3.2 How to identify your WATNA?
    3.3 How to work within the framework of a positive ZOPA
    3.4 Keeping your WAP secret.

    Module 4: The fine art of networking internally and externally
    4.1 How to network within the company
    4.2 How to network outside to your organization
    4.3 Working with pre-suppositions to create meaningful relationship with the right people
    Methodology
    Daniel’s training programs are task-oriented, and participants will be encouraged to actively participate and apply the new skills learned immediately. There will be many hands-on practices and group discussions that will allow the participants to share their thoughts and to demonstrate their abilities objectively.
