"Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory, but let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstances." Sun Tzu

Today’s workforce are better educated and have more initiative then before. Hence the role of the leader has changed fundamentally in that leaders not only play their traditional role of leading their team or organization but now have additional responsibilities of becoming a mentor and coach where the situation seems appropriate. Leadership is not telling others what to do rather it is to inspire others to do what needs to be done. In order to achieve this state you the leader have to be proactive and provide the right platform to allow your team to always perform at their peak. You can achieve this by the power of influence. You can influence people to do their best by providing strong, motivating example in addition to positive reinforcement. Leadership addresses tasks, while influence addresses attitudes and awareness. In fact, influence can be seen as the soul of leadership.

Having an autocratic kind of leadership style may only work for some organizations and even then only for a short while. In order to influence people to continuously perform at their peak requires you to embrace the qualities and skillsets that makes you a proactive leader. This is not an easy transition and it is one that requires a new paradigm and practice to achieve measureable success and results. Whether you are a team leader, supervisor, manager or director, if you have people reporting and looking up to you for guidance then this workshop will be extremely useful.
